We will be hosting Oak City United online soccer camp via platform Zoom.
Our new Online OCU ID and Development camp will be run by our Oak City United coaching staff.
The Oak City United Development and Identity Camp is held with the idea of giving female soccer players the opportunity to showcase their skills while experiencing what it’s like to be involved in an Oak City United training session. Our goal is to offer a professional training environment within the WPSL platform for any players who have the passion to play soccer at the highest level. Oak City United is, also, a platform for the NC Courage reserve players during our season. The Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) is a national women’s soccer league in the United States and Puerto Rico. The league is on the 2nd level of women’s soccer in the United States Soccer pyramid, below the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). This experience will provide players the opportunity to train in an intense and competitive environment, while developing their technical ability, tactical understanding and love for the game.
The camp dates are divided into two age groups 8-13 and 14-19 years old, and will be separated into skill-appropriate groups. The Oak City United Camp is designed to challenge, but at the same time build players with confidence as they compete with players who share similar aspirations to play at the next level. Each camp will provide exercises that push players technically, tactically, and physically as campers grow as players, but also are instilled with their love and passion for the beautiful game.
Each camp will be ran by current Oak City United coaching staff, lead by Head Coach of Oak City United Alex Whetstone. Coach Whetstone has experience coaching at the collegiate level and currently coaches at NCFC. We will also have appearances from current WPSL players - who will assist in supporting players, as well as interacting in a question and answer portion regarding their playing experiences and offering advice to those who look to follow in their footsteps.
